Top 5 Consumer Finance Apps in Latin America: iOS Performance in Q1 2021

Latin America's consumer finance app market has seen varied performance across the top iOS applications in the first quarter of 2021. Data from Sensor Tower allows us to delve into the downloads and weekly active users of these leading apps.

PicPay: Conta, Pix e Cartão started the quarter with downloads at around 60K, peaking mid-February at nearly 300K before settling back down to just over 100K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a steady increase, starting at roughly 1.2M and reaching over 1.7M in late February, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.

Nubank - Conta e Cartão showed a consistent download rate, beginning at 66K and reaching highs of around 99K, with a slight decline to 87K by the quarter's end. Active users maintained an upward trend, starting from 3.9M and growing to 4.5M, demonstrating the app's growing engagement.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital experienced a download range between 62K and 80K throughout the quarter, with weekly active users starting at approximately 1.9M and peaking at over 2.2M in early March.

CAIXA saw its downloads fluctuate between 48K and 71K, with the highest numbers observed in early March. The app's active users varied, peaking at nearly 1.9M in early February and then experiencing a drop to approximately 1.5M by late March.

Banco Santander Brasil had the least number of downloads among the top five, starting at close to 20K and reaching a high of just under 30K in early January. The weekly active users showed a steady base of around 1.2M throughout the quarter.
